Hey - I’m looking for some suggestions on what would be an attractive wheel choice for my 335is.

My car currently has BMW 313 style wheels like this:

Kinja'd!!!

I like these wheels and the double 5-spoke style. I am a fan of 5-spoke style wheels.

My E90 330i had the sport package and came with BMW 162 style wheels like:

Kinja'd!!!

Even though these are 7-spoke, I think these look very nice as well.

So, now that you know my tastes, could you help a BMW-asshat out with a suggestion for the winter wheels?

Steelies. They don’t look that bad.

When we had an E90, we didn't get a 330i; therefore no awesome rims *cries*

I’ve always been a fan of style 161.

For me, fewer spokes are always better, but the other set is handsome as well. Whatever gets you through the winter.

On eBay

Would 16” clear your brakes? Because a smaller rim and larger sidewall is good for snow tires (and their prices, haha)

This way too they are still BMW wheels so it’s not as noticeable that you are on snow tires.

162s and 313s are nice. Also reminded me how much I’d love a ZSP 6 speed 330i with the standard steering rack... hard to beat in terms of being the most 3 series-like. Styles 197, 230, and 284 are all pretty nice IMO although 230 would probably be kind of expensive.

Tire Rack only lists 17 and 18 inch wheels for my car. :/

Ok. It’s probably a brake clearance issue, since yours is a sport.

Only certain 17inch wheels will clear your brakes, and not all of the online databases know this.

I can sell you my old set of 162’s very cheap. They are not my winter set because I bought the winters well before I upgraded my summer set.

My winter set are these Elbrus i08 in anthracite. I paid $159 each, which seemed reasonable at the time. I was not nuts about the dark color, but it hides winter road grime really well and I have received several unsolicited comments about them

these look like they’d be scary to clean.

Well, I can’t argue with that.
